Women with Crohn's Disease or IBD will face new challenges in the postpartum period as they adjust to new motherhood. It is critical that they continue communication with their doctor, both about their postpartum struggles, medication options, and future family planning. As with any chronic disease, maintaining the doctor-patient relationship is important to managing their lifelong disease.
