In the postpartum period, there is generally a shift in focus from a patient's Crohn's Disease to her baby, and with good reason! Sunanda Kane, MD, talked to MDTV what she is concerned about when caring for postpartum IBD patients. Fortunately, as she explained, patients whose disease was controlled during pregnancy usually do not flare in the postpartum unless they change their medication to breastfeed.
