Researchers are finding that immune tolerance can shift during pregnancy. Because of this, about 75% of women with Rheumatoid Arthritis experience an improvement in their symptoms. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to tell who will get better during pregnancy and who will stay the same or get worse. While some women may be able to get through pregnancy successfully with little or no treatment, this can cause a risk of disease flares.
