In 1983 Andrew W. Kelly, DDS became a graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry. After graduating from Howard University, he initially took a job working with one of his former professors and also worked at the University as and Academic Reinforcement Instructor. Andrew W. Kelly, DDS, realized that this was not the career path that he wished to follow so he moved back to Los Angeles, California to establish his practice. While waiting to pass the board examination He worked at Southern California Edison Company as a Medical Analyst. This allowed him to negotiate health care contracts and it also gave him the opportunity to conduct health care seminars for the employees of the company. After passing the California Dental Board, Andrew W. Kelly, MD worked in several private and group dental practices to gain clinical and business experience. After approximately 2 years he established his first practice in Ladera Heights, California. After six years in this location he outgrew this facility and moved his practice to Playa Del Rey, California which was approximately five miles away. After two years at this location he purchased a second location in Inglewood, California. He has been placing and restoring implants since 1988.

Grady Core, MD is originally from Arkansas where he attended undergraduate school at the University of Arkansas and later medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Core completed full training in general surgery at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, an affiliate of Einstein University in New York City, New York. As a practicing general surgeon he was a member of the teaching faculty at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma until later developing an interest in plastic surgery.

Grady Core, MD trained in plastic surgery at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and subsequently came to Birmingham, Alabama where he was a Clinical Instructor in plastic surgery for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Kennedy developed the most commonly used protocol in the US for infusion of microspheres and is the recipient of more than $860,000 in research grants to further investigate this and other cancer treatments.

Dr. Kennedy has also received grants from the University of Maryland School of Medicine to study a new treatment for lung cancer.

He has written dozens of articles, book chapters and abstracts on radiation oncology and has been invited to give presentations on radiation therapy for GI cancers and infusion of microspheres at the premier medical conferences in the United States and Europe. He is the primary instructor of other radiation oncologists of microsphere therapy in the world.

Dr. Kennedy is a graduate of Loma Linda School of Medicine, in Loma Linda, California, and completed his residency at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As chief resident, and later a research fellow, he completed significant work in three-dimensional treatment planning (3D external beam radiation therapy) and radiobiology research.

He was an associate professor in the Radiation Oncology and head of GI radiation oncology at The University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Residency program director from 1997-2002.

Scott Lee Sailer, MD is also at the forefront of several important new cancer treatments. He is one of the first radiation oncologists in North Carolina to offer MammoSite ®, a procedure that can reduce the time spent by breast cancer patients in radiation therapy from six weeks to one. And he will soon begin offering brachytherapy treatment for prostate cancer.

His dedication to the development of effective new treatments has brought national acclaim and such well-earned accolades as being named one of “America’s Top Doctors,” by Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd. He was also honored by his peers when asked to be an examiner of new radiologists by the American College of Radiology.

Scott Lee Sailer, MD has studied, taught and practiced medicine at two of the leading radiation oncology programs in the country.

After graduating from the Harvard Medical School, Scott Lee Sailer, MD was appointed Chief Resident in Radiation Therapy in the Department of Radiation Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. In 1988, he moved to North Carolina to join the radiation therapy staff at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. There he worked as an associate professor, clinical researcher and, most recently, was Medical Director of the Radiation Therapy Program.

While on staff at Chapel Hill, Scott Lee Sailer, MD played a key role in the early clinical use of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), a major advance in the treatment of head, neck and prostate cancers through radiation therapy. When combined with Three Dimensional Radiation Therapy, (also known as 3D treatment planning) IMRT can prevent unnecessary damage to healthy tissue by accurately focusing the most intense beams of radiation on the cancerous cells.

Scott Lee Sailer, MD has written over 20 articles and abstracts related to cancer treatment and have given numerous presentations. In addition, he is the recipient of eight research grants from such groups as the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute. And he has participated in or developed multiple clinical protocols, which investigated new forms of cancer treatment.

Rajiv Dahiya, MD completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in 1995. He completed his residency requirements in Internal Medicine at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in 1997 and in Radiation Oncology at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as Chief Resident in 2002.

Rajiv Dahiya, MD has an active background in radiation oncology and has authored many presentations and technical papers. His most recent publication was an abstract article, CT Guided Prostate Brachytherapy Using Pinpoint Stereotactic Arm, submitted to the 22nd American Brachytherapy Society Meeting in 2001.

Rajiv Dahiya, MD joined Radiation Oncology of San Antonio’s team in 2002.

A native of Madison, West Virginia, Ron Stollings, MD received a B.A. in Biology and a M.S. in biochemistry from West Virginia University. He graduated from the Marshall University School of Medicine in 1982. Ron Stollings, MD completed a residency in internal medicine at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in 1985.

Ron Stollings, MD assisted with the Coronary Artery Risk Detection in Appalachian Children (CARDIAC) project from 1998-2000. In addition, he recently served as a member of the University System of West Virginia Board of Trustees and as a member of the Higher Education Policy Commission.

Ron Stollings, MD currently serves as Chairman of the Corridor G Regional Economic Development Authority Board of Directors. Also, he is a member of the Higher Education Subcommittee of the Intellectual Infrastructure Committee of the statewide West Virginia: A Vision Shared effort.

In June 2003, BRIM II physicians elected Ron Stollings, MD to serve on the provisional board of the newly created physician’s mutual program.

His outstanding devotion to his patients and his community was recognized by the WVSMA in 1994, when its members named Ron Stollings, MD the Rural Physician of the Year.

President of the Boone County Medical Society, Ron Stollings, MD has served on the Council of the West Virginia State Medical Association since 1994 and is a member of the Medical Education Committee. He began serving as President-Elect of the WVSMA in 2002, President of the WVSMA in 2003 and Chairman of the Council in 2004. Ron Stollings, MD currently serves as Senior Council-at-Large of the WVSMA Council. He also was a founding trustee of the West Virginia Medical Foundation.

He attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia graduating in 1972.

Following medical school, John L. Taylor, MD spent four years at the Shands Teaching Hospital, University of Florida specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

After completing specialty training, he served three years in the Navy, two years on Guam, and one year on the teaching staff at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, California.

GENERAL PRACTICE:

Following his discharge from the Navy in 1979, John L. Taylor, MD moved to Tallahassee, Florida where he practiced until 1998. He opened his practice in Thomasville, Georgia and Cairo, Georgia in May 1998. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
