John R. Iredale,DPM a native of Woodstock, Ontario, received his doctorate from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1967. He established his private practice in Durham, North Carolina, upon graduation and has dedicated his career to the furtherance of podiatric medicine in the Triangle area.
He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and of the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He serves as Chief of Podiatry at the North Carolina Specialty Hospital, and is a staff member in the department of orthopedics at Durham Regional Hospital.
John R. Iredale, DPM is recognized as an expert in the field of foot biomechanics, and was a co-founder of the John H. Weed Foundation, and international educational organization dedicated to research and teaching in the field of biomechanics of the lower extremity. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and over the years has been active in the North Carolina Foot & Ankle Society, and has served on the Board of Trustees.
